Third strong slaps to Crotone

In the 2005-2006 season, for the first time of the championship, the Bologna played at Ezio Scida Stade in Crotone.

A SPOT OF PLAY-BY-PLAY

On 11th February, 2006, in the occasion of the 29th Division One match, the two Red-blue teams fight with a different mood!  In fact, the Crotone, its second consecutive Division One championship, sails in the middle high positions of the table while the Bologna has lots of problems to play very well. They have already changed  the coach, Ulivieri  has been sacked after the fourteenth match and has been  replaced by Mandorlini who is still in the firing line.  His coach’s box is really at risk!

Unfortunately, the Red-blue fans have the confirmation about  it. In fact, the Bologna confirms  all its problems in Crotone, either and the Crotone leads the match scoring a goal. Afterwards, Mezzano misses a goal-kick and with several fast passes Jeda passes  the ball to Galardo that kicks very strong to Mingazzini’ s hands. Penalty. Jeda is on spot , he scores and wrong-foot Pagliuca. All are waiting for the Bologna reaction but  the only kick to the net, really slow and in the middle  is made by Daino in the first time and just to notice the presence of the opposing  goalkeeper in the ground.  All the time is just a host Crotone ‘s monologue that plays by heart with  midfielders run and manage the play and the forwards  don’t keep still a second. In the second time, Mandorlini is obliged to change the swing of the play and he replaces some players: Zauli is replaced by Pecchia, Amoroso is replaced by Vignaroli and then Marazzina is replaced by  Loviso. Yet, the match is hardly played by the host Crotone. 

Several balls fall in the Pagliuca’s defence area and the forwards enjoy  themselves to waste them in favour of Pagliuca. First, Pellé misses by head from a metre , then Maietta tries to do it from away and Jeda again.  The only start can reopen the match,  it is an exchange in speed between Bellucci and Pecchia but the Crotone goalkeeper Soviero is good at going out onto the midfielder.

Crotone is the master of the ground and the third goal is the well-earned prize. In fact, Zeytulaev can use at one’s own sweet will the Red-blue defence and he crosses in the middle of area, this time Pellé scores by head without mistaking. The host are nearly “ under the shower” when the Bologna kicks towards the net and Bellucci by penalty touches the goalpost.

Then the referee Gabriele whistles three times the end of the match.
