Tomorrow, Wednesday 21 October, 8:00 p.m. (9:00 p.m. in Italy), Bologna Football Club will play against Aston Villa its third game of Champions League. Bologna FC head coach, Vincenzo Italiano, spoke in the pre-game interview, answering the questions about tomorrow’s game.

Italiano’s pre-game against Aston Villa

Italiano, how you have lived the last few days, despite the climate disaster that has hit Emilia-Romagna?

«Our firts thought is for Bologna’s people and Bologna’s situation, a lot of people are still shovelling mud. Returning from Genova we had many difficulties. The Sports Center was flooded and we had to move to another location for our trainings. We are aware that we are still in a great setting, we are returning from Anfield and we’ll try again to make a good impression. Of course, we know the value of the opponent and we have the obligation to make a good performance. We are doing well but we have to achieve important results».

You have had not much time to prepare the game, and you will play against one of the most prepared head coaches in the World.

«Last year for me it was possible to meet Aston Villa, but in the end we played against Olympiakos. We had already seen the most significant aspects of their game like speed, compactness without the ball and obviously top players in great confidence. They won the last away match and the first two Champions League matches. Now it’s our turn to put them in trouble like in Liverpool match, with a great performance in the dribble and in the created chanches».

Tomorrow’s players: who will select Italiano?

Against Liverpool you selected Dallinga, against Genova Castro: who will be in the field tomorrow?

«Before these games you no longer train, you have to think about the physical recovery and the conditions of the players. Tomorrow someone will be still coming off from Genoa, we recovered someone but others not. Now we are working on someone alternative, we will see tomorrow. We tried Odgaard in three-quarter position for 15 days. We have to try something different to make a few more goals. Realistically, we will decide tomorrow».
